Our Story

2018, on a winter night we made a decision to make an impact on the active wear community.

Tumaz Apparel was born out of a desire to merge high performance active wear technology with an elite level strength and conditioning culture unique to Taiwan to produce a product that out performs any apparel available on the market today.

Taiwan is famous for producing the most advance performance fabric in the world, which is why we choosing Taiwan company to be our garments and fabric supplier. Our garments from fabric, to yarn, to thread gauge, to seam, and and down to the assembly, has gone through rigorous research and development. With the help from professional and amateur athletes from all walks of life, and through thousands of hours of trials and testing in various environments and terrain, we've managed to produce an active wear apparel that is unmatched in comfort and performance.

Our proprietary fabric has gone through the most rigorous testing of the international Intertek Test Services, and every piece is designed to surpass the highest international standards available.

TUMAZ:

Our brand name is derived from the Taiwanese Indigenous tribe of Bunun, and their unique name for the Formosan Black Bear called "Tumaz". The bear being native only to Taiwan represents resilience, resourcefulness, and strength of the Taiwanese mentality. Tumaz Apparel represents the same, which is why we strive to produce the highest quality of active apparel money can buy.

Giving Back

"Tumaz" is also the word for "Hero" to the indigenous Bunun tribe of Taiwan. Our core value revolves around being a hero to the community and culture both domestic and abroad. We strive to promote kindness, honesty, and strength through the culture of active wear.
